1980 Trans-Am "Starquest"

<--PREVIOUS--NEXT-->
Contributed by Dave Theriault
The "Starquest"  took 3 years to build, and started life as an '80 Trans Am.  It has an aluminum firewall & detailed engine compartment, WS6 suspension, and a full frame. Dash features 14 gauges, ceiling console controls, and 36 switches to run just about everything including disguise mode. (Normally,  the park lights go all the way across the front and back.  When you power up, they turn on 2 at a time.....the outside first , next in, next in so on until you have a solid yellow bar in front and red in back. Reverse order for power down.  In disguise mode, all park lights power down except the very outside and the signal lights revert to normal every day signals you see on ordinary cars.) Floor console featured an illuminated graphic display of the car . The shifter was from a TRON game and the trigger switch dimmed the head lights, a nitrous button is located on the shifter facing driver and is safety enabled by an over head switch.  All circuit breakers except the main are located behind the glove compartment door, and are computer monitored. Nav or park lights are full width and count up or down depending if you're powering up or down.Signals are sequencial , 5 per side unless in disguise mode. Suspension is adjustable from floor console.  Computer is located in trunk, in a pull out drawer between the speakers. Drove the car for 10 years, and it worked flawlessly !
