CARPATHO-RUSYN AND LEMKO CULTURE Sitting in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains is a group of people who straddle Ukraine, Poland, Belarus and Slovakia, bearing a unique culture. The two appellations for the same culture stem from the fact that the former group is of the Orthodox faith, whilst the latter are Roman Catholic. A bit of trivia - one of their famous sons was a painter of some renown going by the name of Andy Warhol (born Warhola), who actually sent funds to help out his people in a quiet and dignified fashion.
