'Head of Channel 4' to his trusted employees - "Dum De Dum....Doo Da Dum...Dum Da Dee...WHAT!?!?!? Are you cretins STILL sitting on you backsides? Go out there and get me the rights to the 5th series of PO5! Can't you see the thousands of anxious people waiting for it's return, including me. What am I paying you for!? Now get out there and do your God Damn job."

Have Channel 4 lost the plot? Do they really care about the criticism regarding American programmes?. I am a huge fan of programmes like Party Of Five, Oz, Homicide, Caroline In The City, Frasier, EZ Streets, Babylon5, the list goes on. In the past, Channel 4 seemed quite proud to have been the station to have bagged all these US Gems, nowerdays, they interupt the schedules, fail to publicise them, or place reruns or even new series on in the early hours of the morning. Did anyone else see EZ Streets??. Channel 4 have now become the "Channel to Video" in my house. What will the advertisers think ?

Time for another thread...

It seems that FOX programs, some of the best made in the US, seem to cause all british tv channels major problems when they come to show them. It happened to bbc1 and bbc2 when they try to show The X-Files in sequence with the season finale at the end of the series, instead of at the beginning of the next series, ITV when they tried to show Millenium, which was messed about all over the place before disappearing of the face of the earth, much like ITVs viewers, and now CH4, probably the most refreshing channels up until recently messing up big time and apparently dropping Party of 5.

Wake up CH4. Don't treat us like this. It's not many series of this quality that are made and to drop it after 4 years makes no sense at all. Perhaps if you spent all the money you waste on your "homemade" rubbish and spend it on decent TV you would get more viewers and less criticism.

Feedback is welcome!

I am absolutely appauled that Party of Five has been dropped after 4 seasons. Channel 4, how on earth do you expect your viewers to commit themselves to a programme not knowing if they will be able to continue watching it next season? What will be next to go - ER or perhaps even Friends. I surely will think twice before commiting myself to a programme on a station which thinks so little of its viewers!

Channel 4, you have just lost one very dedicated viewer. I'm sure I'm not the only one!!!

How dare you axe Party of Five

How dare you axe Party of Five. You are the only channel that shows it, so now what are Party of Five fans supposed to do? You now show a load of rubbish, apart from ER AND FRIENDS and even those are repeats as they have already been shown on Sky 1. Who the hell wants to watch, those cooking programs, and Lihgt Lunch, and queer as Folk. Get a descent program like Party of five back on or have you just lost your minds? You don't deserve to have a channel on TV. I am waiting from an email from you to explain why you have axed it.
From an ex Channel 4 fan.

Hi C4,

i thought i'd take a more civilised approach and ask if you have any explanation (although nothing can heal the pain) that would justify why you (at your peril)would wish to even think about taking Party of five off the air.

This together with classic programmes like the wonder years, My so called Life, Dawson's Creek etc. makes channel 4 the guru of teen american imports that frankley provide us brits with a bit of excitement and drama in our lives that a dose of er...there are no teen-angst programmes to make a comparison...er... the bill! fail to do. I think you understand what i mean, but if you don't here's a quick recap.........

PUT IT BACK ON ALREADY - PERIOD

(so that i may learn grammer like ''already'' and ''period'' to make stupid sentences up)

Thank you

Dear Channel 4 - Are you waiting until we have pay per view across all channels and we can show you how much viewer power we all have ?? There are a lot of people out there who are not impressed at the amounts of repeats on channel 4 (i.e. Roseanne) yet the bizarre decision not to follow series through from season to season. People are switching off and this way you'll never get our money when the time comes !!!!! Bring back Po5 and we'll be a lot happier !
