Dogs Available for Adoption:

Meiko:

MeikoMeiko (Mee-ko) is a 6 year old female Great Pyrenees who came to us from the Duluth pound. They seized her for neglect after she was found living on a chain with no shelter from the pouring rain and with no food or water. Meiko is friendly with all children and adults she meets. Meiko would make a nice companion for an empty nest couple or a young family. Meiko had surgery on 11-11-08 to repair her dislocated knee cap (luxated patella). Her knee has totally healed and she has finished her rehab therapy. Meiko is an alpha female and would do best as an only pet or with a very non-alpha dog. She is a petite Great Pyr and weighs about 80 #’s.

Bishop:

bishopBishop is a male Great Pyrenees who is probably about 2 years old. Bishop was a stray for a long time and was very underweight when he first came to rescue. He has filled out and now weighs about 100 #’s. Bishop is all teenager and would benefit from obedience training. He loves to play, but he also loves to be with people getting as much attention and petting as he can Bishop gets along with cats. He is also doing well with the non-alpha dogs in his foster home. Bishop might actually do best in a home with another dog that he could play with. Because of his age and sometimes boisterous behavior, Bishop should be in a home without very young children.

Omie:

OmieOmie is a petite 4 year old female Great Pyrenees looking for a new home. Omie loves being petted, but is not “pushy” about it. Aside from eating a chocolate Easter Bunny, Omie is the perfect house guest. She is house trained and very good with kids, cats and other dogs. In fact Omie would benefit from sharing her home with other pets that she could play with. Omie likes walks and going for car rides. Before coming into rescue, Omie had 5 puppies, but they did not survive. Omie really needs some TLC and someone to shower her with love.
