Background: June of 2001 marked Wildkat's debut in NPW.  Having spent the past few years as a DCW regular, Wildkat decided the time was right for  him to make a name for himself in Vermilion County's premiere wrestling federation.  His quest began with a failed attempt at earning the NPW Tag Team Championship, which he blamed solely on his tag partner at the time, Gumbo Boy.  To resolve the feud, the two competitors were pitted against each other in the following 3 shows, each winning one pinfall victory apiece, but Wildkat had other ideas for the 3rd matchup.  Wildkat teamed up with high school wrestler Jon Tomson to form what they called the Junior Varsity Club.  The duo sent a message to Gumbo Boy and NPW that the JV Club meant business.  With the help of Tomson, Wildkat was able to earn a shot at the Unified Hardcore, and he succeeded in winning the championship, with the help of Dave "Treehugger" Willis as well.  Wildkat saw an opportunity there to better his title reign and threw Jon Tomson to the wayside and took Dave Willis as his manager and ringside crony.  The Unified Hardcore Championship seems secure around Wildkat's waist for the time being thanks to Dave Willis watching his back and the low-down dirty tactics that keep Wildkat's championship reign intact.  As of late, Wildkat has gone back to his DCW roots, involving himself with Sweet Jimmy D and the 3 Kings.  The loss of Dave Willis, by Wildkat's very own hands, mind you, has not rattled this superstar, now that he has aligned himself with the most formidable stable in NPW history.
