Here's my '76 XT500CModifications

This picture shows some of the modifications and accessories I've added to my 1976 XT.  Its serial number is 1E6-000190 so I assume that means it's the 89th XT500 built for the USA.  This picture was taken 1-16-99, so you should notice that it's in very good condition.  It currently has 9,300 miles on the oddometer.

Another view of my XT500CThis is another view of my Thumper.  Note the custom aluminum skidplate that extends to protect the low headpipe.

Rear view of my XT500CThis picture shows the replacement UFO rear fender and enduro taillight.  Also, the Moose rear fender pack is a great place to put your lunch or some extra tools!

'83 XT550 Throttle on my '76 XT500Notice how my throttle cables are neatly tucked behind the brush guards?  Throw the original throttle away before you catch your cables on a tree and break your neck!

90/90 x 21 MT21I recently put on some new tires.  I decided on the Pirelli MT21 Rallycross tires. Here's the front 90/90 x 21,and below is the 110/80 x 18.

Me & my XT500CThis is me and my XT500.  I guess I'm just an old spode who loves Yamaha XT thumpers!    110/80 x 18 MT21The great thing about these tires are that even with their motocross style tread, they're still D.O.T. approved for the road!
