USCGC Wrangell (WPB-1332)


The USCGC Wrangel is a 110 foot patrol boat suited mainly for Search & Rescue and law enforcement. The class was constructed in 3 batches, with various modifications and improvement made with each batch. The Wrangell was constructed with the second batch and was placed into commission in 1989. The Wrangell has a crew of 18, a maximum speed of 30 knots, and although intended for 10-14 day patrols, they have been making patrols for as long as 60 days. The Wrangell is home ported in South Portland, ME. The patch shows the cutter, with a cuttermans pin underneath and an outline of New England and the big dipper above.
