USCGC Salvia (WLB-400)

The CGC Salvia was commissioned in 1945 as a Seagoing Buoy Tender. These ships maintain buoys and other navigational aids in coastal waters. The Salvia was 180 feet long, had a crew of 53 and was homeported in Mobile, AL. The cutter as decommissioned in April of 1991. The patch depicts the cutter with a buoy.
