USCGC Hornbeam (WLB-394)

The CGC Hornbeam and was commissioned in 1944 as a Seagoing Buoy Tender. These ships maintain buoys and other navigational aids in coastal waters. The Hornbeam was 180 feet long, had a crew of 53 and was decommissioned in 1999. The patch is an older version showing the cutter off the coast of New Jersey.
