Round
3 Photo Action - Officials In Action at Panthers V Eagles Match
Touch Judges should stay on the sideline.........
........ or behind the goal posts..........
.....
but not on the field. The red line is there for TV people,
photographers, Cheer Leaders to stay behind. Many players have
said that the touchies should stay off the field.
How many opinions do you need on a shot at goal? Two touch
judges, one ball boy, one cameraman and one camera assistant wait
for Penrith's Ryan Girdler to kick a goal.
A
Northern Eagles player dives for the try line. Referee Mark Oaten
looks to his Touch Judge for assistance......
...... and no one is sure, so it is time to refer the decision
to the man upstairs, the Video Referee.........
...... Penrith players wonder if a try will be awarded. Some
players and spectators look to the big screen to the right of the
camera....
..... and it doesn't look clear on this angle on the big
screen. Several angles were shown from the Fox Sports cameras.......
....... but don't look towards the old Video Referee board (as
it is the backup board only at the moment)......
.... the Video Referee is about to make a decision. Will it be
a try?
TRY! Northern Eagles fans under the big screen celebrate.
