Some of our members have developed into birding experts in different areas of the world during the last several years. Some of these people have sufficient leisure time that they can devote some of it into leading birding trips into their areas of expertise.
These leaders would not only act as expert guides, but would also do the research, and set up the logistics.

The advantage would be that those of you with limited time could have a custom trip put together based upon your schedule and needs. You can put a group together, go alone, or with a spouse at your own pace.

Some of our experts are in place e.g. Dennis Rogers lives in Costa Rica, and is an expert on all of Central America. Guy Kirwan is an expert in Brazil and Turkey. Mike Flieg has expertise in the Caribbean. Todd Mark, our point man, knows the Philippines and Ecuador and has explored Peru and Indonesia. Allan Sander is a veteran of Indonesian and South American trips. Larry Steingarten has taken a group to Bhutan. Paul Salaman, of course, knows Colombia; Rod Martins has done all of China, Ray Ziarno organized a fine trip to Kenya and Uganda, and there are many others. These people could arrange trips with minimum expense; then accompany and guide you for their expenses, and a stipend.

The cost would be much less than the bird tour companies, and allow you to pick your companions, and style of travel, food, and lodging.

If you are interested, get in touch with us, and we will introduce you to these people, or if you feel that you could be a candidate, send us your name for consideration.
