A Fistful of Dinars
Basic Idea - The hunt for Ambrosia is on! And guess who the hunters are - an assassin, a bard, a warrior princess and her former husband!
Xena : Warrior Princess has the clue to a hidden treasure trove. This treasure trove has riches worth millions and Xena intends to find it for another reason! She meets up with an assassin who has two clues. This assassin is being hunted by his former employer for not doing a job right but, the assassin kills the employer after a small conversation. (THAT'S LOYALTY FOR YOU!)
The assassin agrees to share the clues with Xena (after some coaxing) and the warrior princess then goes to the camp of her ex-husband. The warlord (ex-husband is a warlord!) is busy getting complaints from a villager whose village he just conquered. Xena comes in and persuades the warlord to give the villagers their horses and cows back! The warlord then discusses about the clues and they agree to find the treasure together. The foursome (warlord+bard+warrior princess+assassin) set off to find the cave. In between, they do have certain tiffs and fights but, they get over it.
Finally, they reach the cave and then Xena solves the puzzle (Ahh! Einstein's daughter does it again!) and they find the cave of riches. Meanwhile, Xena looks for something other than the riches - the Titan's key. The Titan's key can unlock the chamber which holds the food of the Gods, Ambrosia. Ambrosia can convert a mortal into a God. Xena wants to find the ambrosia and destroy it.
However, the assassin finds the key, kidnaps Gabrielle, and then proceeds towards the chamber. Xena and the warlord go after them (making quite a mess in the "Chamber of Silence") and then finally reach the chamber. The assassin asks the warlord to join him and become a God and the warlord apparently agrees. Then, he stabs the assassin but, the assassin kills the warlord. Xena kicks the assassin's butt and then she tends to the warlord.
But, the warlord dies but, before dying he shows Xena that he had always carried her wedding bracelet. Xena says that she is sorry that she every doubted him. Xena takes care of the ambrosia!
