BACK to TROUBLE
 

The table below was taken from a menu. Note in Netscape that the little 10-pixel wide gold-pixel gif shows up on the left bottom. It looks pretty much as it was intended to look, with that dangling "L" below the last menu item. Now, look at it with IE. The menu is formatted very differently and that last little "L" is missing. Where did it go? It's there in the HTML but IE doesn't recognize it.

Here is the same menu below, with all the cells mapped out with exact pixels. Now it looks the same in both browsers. So, when in doubt, especially on a highly formatted table like this one, map out all the cell dimensions in pixels and you should be reasonably assured that it will render identically in both browsers.
