Independent Kandyan kingdom:

The currency systems of the independent Kandy district of Ceylon reflected the that of the occupied maritime provinces. For instance Larins, Challies were valid and accepted. In addition to these, a few coins distinctive to Kandy, were also in circulation.

The 'Sinhala Panama' struck by the King; the metal is silver, often very base, a few show a slight mix of gold.
