Bible History in the Reformed School

What is Bible History?

Bible History is the study of the history of the redemption of God's covenant people as it is revealed in the Old and New Testaments and confessed in the Three Forms of Unity.

Concerning this revelation of God, we confess in Article 2 of the Belgic Confession that God "makes Himself more clearly and fully known to us by His holy and divine Word as far as is necessary for us in this life, to His glory and our salvation." Therefore, to know God, our depravity, our salvation in Jesus Christ, and the gratitude which God requires of us, we must do our utmost to learn God's Word and to pass it on to the covenant children in our charge.

The name Bible History means that our subject material deals predominantly with the historical accounts in the Bible.
