Jim and Susan French

Our Wedding

Jim and Susan Diane Gresham, a daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Anne Miller Gresham were married on what seemed like the coldest winter day in December. They were married by Father John Lakers in St. Francis Xavier Church, on the 9th day of December in 1977.

James Alan French was born November 6, 1955 at the Jersey Community Hospital in Jerseyville, Illinois.
Jim received his education at the local schools and discovered his talent in autombile repair and refinishing during his junior year in high school. Jim was introduced to the art of carpentry at a very early age. He helped build our garage and back porch before he reached his teens. Jim is an auto body repairman by trade and belongs to the Machinists Union. He is not only a craftsman in his work profession, but an expert in woodworking. Jim can repair almost anything. With family help, he has completely rebuilt and remodeled his present home on West Exchange Street.

Jim married Susan Diane Gresham on December 9, 1977, at St Francis Xavier Church in Jerseyville. Susan was born on December 12, 1957 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Illinois.
Her parents are Thomas Gresham and Elizabeth Ann Miller. Susan is a manager at the Shop N' Save grocery store in Jerseyville.
