 The region of Kalotaszeg can be said to lie
immediately to the west of the city of Kolozsvár (Cluj-Napoca) in Romania and extends
approximately 30km westwards. In this region, there are people of Hungarian, Romanian,
Gypsy as well as people of Saxon ethnic background. The two most predominant groups though
are the Hungarians and Romanians, but generally there is a small Gypsy community most
villages in the area. |
