Lion L. N. Gandhi is District Chairman, Social Welfare in District 323-A1 for the year 1998-99. He is a Past President of Lions Club of J. B. Nagar. He joined Lionism in 1964 and has been an active member throughout.
Lion L. N. Gandhi is a Chairman and Managing Director of "M/S Modhera Chemicals Pvt. Ltd" and a partner in "M/S L. N. Chemical Industries". These industries are involved in manufacturing Speciality Chemicals.
He is married to Nila L. Gandhi and has three daughters and one son.
Lion L. N. Gandhi joined the Lions movement in 1964. He was President of Lions Club of J.B. Nagar in the year 1986-87.
He has been a member of the Board of Lions Club of J. B. Nagar since past 21 years. He has served in all capacities at Club Level.
He has been District Chairman since past several years. He is District Chairman - Social Welfare for the year 1997-98. He has initiated a project to paint and refurbish Black-boards in a number of Municipal Schools. Blackboard is a prerequisite to any educational activity. Unfortunately the condition of blackboards in a number of Municipal Schools is very bad due to lack of funds to maintain them. He has targetted to refurbish more than 200 blackboards in this year.
Lion L. N. Gandhi has always supported various social causes through Lions activities and also otherwise.
He has started Rural Development Activities and a Hospital in his native place, Modhera, in memory of his mother, Smt. Raiben Nathalal Gandhi, with active cooperation of wellknown social organization called Anarde Foundation. Through this channel, monetary benefit of more than Rs. 20 crores has been received by the people in about 50 to 60 villages around Modhera in the last five years.
Lion L. N. Gandhi has also donated major funds for an ambulance for use at Dahanu. This is now being utilized and maintained by Lions Club of Dahanu.
