With the death of Koutaishi, the Kuei Jin who had convinced all of the Kindred in the city that he was Kindred, I had to come up with a new character.
This situation wasn't completely unexpected, so I had an idea already.
I've always liked the Kiasyd, not for their power level, but for their weirdness. I convinced Evil to let me make an offshoot of the Kiasyd line that has the original Mytherceria. Since the LARP is open to almost all White Wolf games, it can withstand quite a bit more strangeness than most games. It's already got faeries and werewolves and mages and vampires working together, as well as a few mixtures (a mage who was ghouled by a powerful Kindred, and a werewolf with more than a little Changeling blood), so I figured it could stand up to a Kindred with fae blood.
I also had no wish to be put in the seat of Prince again. I've never liked the idea of being Prince in a Vampire game. It's always so dangerous. I prefer to be an advisor. And so it was that I came in with an elder Kiasyd who is working to discover what strange things are going on in the Twin Cities.
The character is Lucien Sullerot, a minor French noble born in the eleventh century, embraced by a Kiasyd who wanted him to chronicle the Crusades that he had foreseen. Lucien has remained awake all of these nights, never slipping into Torpor. Most of his unlife has been spent reading. He has a perfect memory, so whatever he reads remains with him.
