Recipe Ingredients


Gram dhal - 2 cups
Sugar -2 cups
All Purpose flour - 2 cups
Rice flour - 1 cup
Cardamom pwder - 1 tsp
A pinch of salt
Food colour (yellow) - 1 tsp
Ghee ( Clarified butter) for frying
Oil - 1 tsp







Recipe Directions





Cook the gram dhal and mash to a smooth paste. In a Sauce pan add gram paste,sugar and cardamom powder ,stir till the dissolves and the mixture is thick.

Add oil to the flour followed by salt and food color and knead to a dough with little water. Divide into small balls. Divide the gram sugar mixture into portions equal to the dough balls.
Take a dough ball to make a cup,fill a portion of gram paste mixture to it and seal well. Flatten slightly. Roll on a floured board using rice flour.
Bake on a hot tawa until golden brown on both sides. Serve with ghee.
