Idli Sambar

Toor dhal - 1 cup
Spring Onions - 15
Green Chillies - 4
Salt to taste
Corriander leaves , curry leaves for flavour
urad dhal -1/2 tsp
Oil -1 tbsp
Cummin seeds - 1 tsp
Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Corriander powder -1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Tomatoes -3
Thin Coconut extract - 1/2 cup

Cook Toor dhal and keep aside. Chop Tomatoes, corriander leaves, slit green chillies.

In a sauce pan heat oil, and fry the onions, tomatoes, chillies for 5 minutes. To this add all the powdered ingredients, salt and the coconut extract. When it is about to boil, add the cooked dhal and bring it to boil. Add corriander leaves at this stage and put in low flame. Season it with urad dhal, cummin seeds, mustard, curry leaves.
