PURPLE BOTTLE

This bottle was made by hand using the coiling method. After the basic shape was formed I used a scraper to refine the body of the pot until it was very thin. It was biscuit fired to a temperature of 900c.

The glaze is a commercial preparation containing granules, which give a mock crystalline finish when fired to cone 06.
