Hello everyone and welcome to my Save Ferris page. This page has lots of great links, and pics devoted to the greatest band on Earth, Save Ferris.
In case you didn't know, Save Ferris is this great ska band from Orange County, California. As soon as I saw the "Come on Eileen" video, I knew I had to get their CD. Little did I know that I was buying the greatest CD ever. Save Ferris is just one of many great ska bands. I first got hooked on ska early last year. At first I liked it just a little bit. Then after hearing more and more of it, I got addicted. Now all I listen to is ska. This page is dedicated to my favorite ska band of all time, Save Ferris. If you haven't joined the ska scene yet, your missin out on some great music. It's a big change from the kind of music you usually listen too, but once you hear it, your hooked. Oh, I'd also like to thank MTV, because they are sort of the ones who opened my eyes to ska. One Saturday, MTV played a special called "Skaturday" and it had all the great ska bands of today (called 3rd wave ska) It was that day that I realized how great ska music was, and I thank MTV big time for that. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a "Skaturday" ever since.
Ok, back to Save Ferris. Save Ferris is a pop/punk/ska band from Orange County, California. (Also home to the O.C. Supertones) In my opinion Save Ferris is the best ska band because of their combination of a great female vocalist, and the best trumpet, sax and trombone players in the business. Their catchy, pop ska songs are great to skank to, and you never get tired of their music. If you've ever heard Save Ferris you know what I'm talking about. Their remake of " Come on Eileen" is great. It just goes to show that ska bands can make any crappy song a good one. Well...maybe not a rap song. Their latest album is "It Means Everything" which has 11 tracks including "Come on Eileen" and '97 versions of "The World Is New" and "Superspy" The cd really is worth picking up.
The band:(from left to right) Eric Zamora/Alto Sax, Brian Mashburn/vocals,guitar, Jose Castellanos/trumpet, Monique Powell/vocals, Bill Uechi/bass, T-Bone Willy/trombone, and Marc Harismendy/drums.
