The Dolphin

Your silken lines gliding through warm waters
reminds me of freedom,
which is sometimes very hard to perceive.

The high pitched whistles of your uninhibited laughter
brings a joy to my heart like no other.

The gentle smile you so willingly give,
reminds me how all the best things in life are free.

Your curved body cresting above the waves
jumping and skipping so playfully,
reminds me of the child I used to be.

This picture was given to me by a friend,
when I was leaving "Harmony House"
a women's recovery house, that I lived at for 3 months.

What this picture symbolizes for me:

The larger whale diving down in the background represents my past.
My past has served its purpose and is no longer active in my life.

The two identical dolphins represent me and my soul mate,
arriving together at the same time and in rebirth into a new life of recovery.

The bright light represents our HIGHER POWER, our loving GOD
with rays of love encompassing us as loving arms wrapped around us,
to protect and guide us in our journey of love and life together,
in our partnership of service to GOD.
