Subject: Meaning of a name


Siyo RedHeart,
A name is a sacred thing in the creators scheme of things.
The whites do not understand this thing and keep the names they are
given at birth. Yet a child of the people is given a new name when he or
she crosses over from child to adult. That name given then is given by
one who was chosen by the creator to see the true spirit if you will of
the person recieving the name. This true name I call it holds power in
that it is who and what you are. To alot of us the giving of a true name
is a sacred thing and never to be taken lightly. It is very hard to give
a name to one whom you have yet to meet or seen in person. Some would
also say a mixblood such as myself untaught by an elder holy man walks a
dangerous path in doing what is done by myself. Nomatter I have walked
the dreampath with my spirit guide the Wolf many times now and have been
given many visions and revelations from the creator father, so I know
what is and is not myright and I do not misuse it. I did not choose your
name quickly or lightly. I watched, I ponderd, I wept. And though not in
the flesh I saw a man who when faced with adversity allowed his heart or
spirit if you will do the right and noble thing. This is a quality trait
given by the creator to the people when he gave them the charge of
taking care of all living things on turtle island. This trait if you
follow me RedHeart is almost always only found in one who still
remembers the old ways and strives to walk their path,one who is of the
People, The Red People! Your friend Chief over in the Nam must have
taught and imparted into your spirit more than you know. For while you
may very well be white, the sweet spirit that captured your love and
bore your seed must have seen your heart heart for what it truly is,Red
as any fullblood in any nation. You must truly bring honor to her and
her people! This is why I  and all of mine will always call you by your
true name (self)
