These stamps were issued for use in Ashantee. The 1d. through
2s 6d. were used in Great Britain during Autmn manuavers in 1896.
The £5 was first used in October 1899 in South Africa.
All but the £5 were previously issued with surcharges for use in
Egypt, Bechuanaland, Suakim in 1884, 1885, and Egypt in 1887.
