While laying down impressions, sometimes the impressions were laid down incorrectly and had to be done over.
The incorrect impression was removed through a burnishing process which provided a fresh surface, and the correct
impression was laid down once again.  Sometimes the burnishing process was not entirely complete and evidence of
the first impression remained visible on the plate. This produced results similar to what is seen in the case of none
coincidental re-entries.  However, the difference is that this type of repair was executed before the plates were put to
press, and can be seen on the Imprimatur Sheets.
