·Religion: What it means to be Christian and Catholic, Saint Reports, morality; acceptable vs. unacceptable behavior, debates on values.

·Math: Incremental development, abstract concepts in algebra.
·Computers: Word processing, excel, power point and other applications, research.
·Science: The focus us on physical science.
·Social Studies: Study the United States of America, including geography, founding, American Revolution, Constitution and Democracy.
·Art: Art is integrated in all areas of the curriculum.
·Physical Education: Work together as a team, positive self-image, organized games and individual challenges.
HIGHLIGHTS
Christmas Program, reenactment of the Stations of the Cross and the Last Supper, weekly Mass and Rosary, Altar server, band (provided by Mr. Cef Jamero), Talent Show, Grandparents Day, Student Council, Academic Decathlon, Writing Festival, Speech Contest, Spelling Bee, Science Fair, Ice Cream Social, Science Projects such as Habitats and Robots. Field trips include the theater, the State Capital, the Green Houses (Poinsettias), end of the year trip to Alcatraz and Six Flags/Marine World, Banquet and Graduation.
*Literature: Read and analyze a variety of novels and short stories and poetry including: That Was Then, This Is Now; White Fang, Dicey’s Song, Rumble Fish and the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn; critical thinking and literary concepts.
*Writing: Develop variety of paragraphs and essays, short stories, reports, speeches and public speaking.
*Grammar: Continue to study of rules and punctuation as we continue to improve writings.
·Vocabulary: Study and learn new words.
