·Religion: How faith calls us to listen and respond to the message of Jesus

·Language Arts:
*Literature: Read and Analyze novels, short stories. Poetry including: A Wrinkle In Time, The Outsiders, and Call of the Wild.
*English: Vocabulary and spelling words
*Grammar: Focusing on English conventions and their application to writing: Persuasive essays, how-to articles, publications and various group activities

·Math: Fractions, percentages, plots, graphs, quadrilaterals, balance equations, compass, probability and algebra.

·Computers: Word processing, power point presentations, excel and other application

·Science: Focus is on life science: cells, microscope, genetics, projects to include: boats that will float and hold cargo, labs, research reports and various group activities

·Social Studies: Ancient Cultures and History including the Roman Empire, Islam, Africa, China and Renaissance

·Art: Integrated in areas of the curriculum using mediums such as paint, water color, chalk mosaic and tie-dye

·Physical Education: working as a team, positive self image, physical fitness, organizes games and individual challenges

HIGHLIGHTS

Christmas Program, reenactment of the Station of the Cross, weekly Mass and Rosary, Altar Server, Ice Cream Social, Talent Show, Grandparent’s Day, Student Council, Academic Decathlon, Spelling Bee, Speech Contest, Writing Festival, Science Fair, Field trips: State Capital, Theater, Museums and others integrated within the curriculum.
