Last rites for Mrs Kimpie Toombs, 67, of 1806 Hollywood Ave., who died Saterday, will be held at Alexander funeral home. Rev. Fred Sharp will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, George W; two daughters, Mrs Florance Ryan and Mrs Cornellia Hartig; one son, William: one brother, John Bland of Kansas City, Kansas, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Last rites for George W Toombs, 78, of 1806 Hollywood Ave., who died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Alexander Funeral Home. The Rev. Marion Hopkins will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Toombs was with the Louisville and Nashville Railroad for 27 years before his retirement in 1932.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs Florence Ryan and Cornellia Hartig: son, William: nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, neices and nephews, all of Evansville.
