Mrs. Amanda Musgrave died at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Debbie Musgrave, at this place early Sunday morning, after an illness of but four days.

Aunt Amanda, as she was familiarly known by all, was a remarkable woman, having lived ninety-eight years, excepting one day. During her entire life she enjoyed almost perfect health, which has been attributed to the fact that she was a dietarition and followed the proper care of the body both physically and spiritually. She lived to see five generations of her family.

Amanda Leming was born in New Jersey October 23, 1813. She came to Lawrenceburg,Ind., at the age of eight years where she was later married to Mr.Enoch Musgrave, and in 1855 came to Dale with her husband, and has resided near or in Dale since that date. To this married union were born three sons, William, Thomas and Henry, and one daughter, Helen. The husband died about twenty-four years ago, and one child, only William, of Newalla, Okl., survives.

There is no language at our command by which we can befittingly portray the sincerety of this kind old lady's character. She was a christion in fact; and in the experience of a lifetime, the writer hereof can safely say, he never met one who seemed to more nearly walk hand in hand with God. She entered the christian life at a very early age, and has been a faithful member of the Dale Presbyterian church for forty-five years.

Impressive funeral services were conducted by Rev. Rankin at the Presbyterian Church Monday mourning, after which the remains were tenderly laid to rest in the silent city of the dead.
