Feedback on 1 Peter 2 from RKF

I kept wondering how many - if any - African-American members you have in your congregation, and what their thoughts might've been. Not that this text should not be broached in their presence, but just wondered how they might feel. I appreciated how you wrestled with the issue however, and it should be done. The quote from several libertaion theologians came to mind on this issue: "Sometimes we have to liberate the bible from itself." I also kept wanting to hear more about he other part of the text - suffering.
