1I will sing of thy steadfast love, O Lord, forever; with my mouth I will proclaim thy faithfulness to all generations.I will sing of the Lord's great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.The merciesof the Lord I will sing forever; from generation to generation I will make know n your faithfulness with my mouth.I will sing eternally the loyalty of the Lord, I will announce your faithfulness through all the ages.
2For thy steadfast love was established for ever, thy faithfulness is firm as the heavens.I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you established your faithfulness in heaven itself.For I said: mercy will be built forever; in the very heavens you will affirm your truth.
3Thou hast said, "I have made a covenant with my chosen one, Ihave sworn to David my servant:You said, "I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David my servant.I made a covenant with my chosen one; I swore to David my servant, saying:Saying "Perpetual is the loyalty that is in heaven, your faithfulness is firm there."
4'I will establish your descendents for ever, and build your throne for all generations.'"'I will establish your line forever and make your throne firm through all generations.'"Forever will I confirm your descendence. And I will establish your throne for all generations.--"I will seal alliance with my chosen one swearing to David, my servant: "I will build you a lasting throne."
19Of old didst thou speak in a vision to thy faithful one, and say: "I have set the crown upon one who is mighty, I have exalted one chosen from the people.Once you spoke in vision, to your faithfufl people you said, "I have bestowd stength on a warrior; I have exalted a young man from among the people.The you spoke in a vision to your holy one, and said: I have placed aid upon one who is powerful; I have exalted a chosen one from my people.Ond day you spoke in a vision to your faithful ones: "I have the crown upon a hero, I have raised up a soldier from the troop.
20I have found David, my servant; with my holy oil I have anointe him....with my sacred oil(same as NIV)I have found in David a servant and I have anointed him with sacred oil.
21so that my hand shall ever abide with him, my arm also shall strengthen him.My hand will sustaini him; surely my arm will strengthen him.My hand shall be always with him, my arm will also strengthen himso that my hand will always be with him and my arm will make him courageous.
22The enemy shall not outwit him, th wicked shall not humble him.No enemy shall subject him to tribute; no wicke man will oppress him.No enemy will surprise him, nor any son of iniquity break him.The enemy will not deceive him nor will evil ones humiliate him.
23I will crush his foes before him and strike down those who hate him....and stike down his adversariesBut rather I will break his enemies before him, and I will wound those who abhore him.before him I will grind down his adversaries and I will wound those who hate him.
24My faithfulness and my steadfast love shall be with him, and in my name shall his horn be exalted.My faithful love will be with him, and through my name his horn will be exalted.My truth and my mercy will be with him, and in my name his power will be exalted.My faithfulness and loyalty will accompany him, with my authority his power will be lifted up.
25I will set his hand on the sea and his right hand on the rivers.(substitutes "over for both uses of "on")In the same way I will place his hand upon the sea, and upon the rivers his right hand.I will extend his left hand to the sea and his right hand until the Great River.
