(FS) A. NT & PRIMITIVE CHRISTIANITY
Romans 14:17-- the kingdom of God is "righteousness, peace, and joy in the
Holy Spirit"
2 Tim. 2:22-- exhortation to flee the desires of youth and "pursue
righteousness, faith, love, and peace..."
Heb. 7:2-- Melchizedek's name means "King of righteousness, while "King of
Salem" means "King of peace"
Heb. 12:11-- divine discipline produces a harvest of "righteousness and
peace"
Psalm 85:9: reminds me of John 1:1-14, about light and glory and grace
and truth being made flesh and dwelling with humanity.

A. "Righteousness and peace":
Isaiah 9:7
Is. 32:17-- "the fruit of righteousness will be peace"
Is. 60:17-- "I will make peace your governor and righteousness your ruler"
B. "Love and faithfulness":
Ex. 34:6, where Yahweh reveals Self as "abounding in love and faithfulness"
Ps. 57:3, God sends love and fatifulness to psalmist
Ps. 61:7, God asked to appoint love and faithfulness to protect king
PROVERBS 3:3-- "let love and faithfulness never leave you"...see also Pr.
14:22, 16:6, 20:28
Isaiah 15:5: in love a throne is established, in faithfulness a davidic
king will sit on it.
