CALL TO WORSHIP:
Pastor: Hear us, Lord, listen to our prayers.
People: We speak from the bottom of our hearts, we do not lie when we come
with our petitions before you this morning.
Pastor: Let us worship God!

UNISON PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Have mercy on us, O God, do not abandon us. If you would try our hearts, if
you would put us to the test, you would probably find us wanting. We say
one thing, but we do another. We have not walked the paths that you have
prepared for us. We have doubted that you would hear, really hear, and act
on our prayers. But you have been faithful to us, even when we were not
faithful to you. You listened to us, even when we would not listen to you.
Forgive us, Lord. Teach us each day anew the way of Jesus Christ our Lord,
who always acted according to what he said, and who never spoke without
putting His words into action. We pray that you would enable us to follow
in His footsteps through the power of your Holy Spirit. We ask this in the
name and for the sake of Jesus Christ. Amen.

UNISON PRAYER OF DEDICATION
Loving God, we have gathered on the hillside to watch you feed your people.
But
you do not want us to stand by, you want to employ us as partners in your
work of the salvation of all your people. Teach us how to distribute that
which you have multiplied. With your help, the many things we have will be
more than enough to help those who have nothing at all. And there will even
be plenty left over when all the work is done. We pray this in Christ's
name and for his sake. Amen.
