(AJ) C. ROUGH TRANSLATION

1 And it came to pass after these words, then God tested Abrahman and said to him, "Abraham." And he said, "Here I am!" (or "Behold me!") 2 And he said "Take your son, your only one that you love, Isaac, and to to the land of Moriah and offer him up there for (a) burnt offering on one of the mountains that I say to you." 3 Abraham got up early in the morning and he girded his ass and took two of his lads with him and Isaac, his son. And he split wood of a burnt offering and he arose and he went to the place that (God) said to him. 4 On the third day, Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place from a distance. 5 And Abraham said to his lads, "You stay here with the ass. I and the lad will go until thus, and we will worship. And we will come back to you. 6 And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and he placed (it) on Isaac, his son. And he took in his hand the fire and the knife and they walked together, the two of them. 7 And Isaac said to Abraham, his father, "My Father." And he said, "Here I am, my son." He (Isaac) said "Here are the fire and the wood but where (is) the sheep for a burnt offering?" 8 And Abraham said, "God will see to it, the lamb for a burnt offering, my son." And they walked together, the two of them. 9 And they came to the place that God said to him. There he built the altar and he arranged the wood. And he bound Isaac his son and he placed (him) with it on the altar on top of the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and he took the knife to slay his son. 11 And a messenger (angel) of the LORD from the heavens called to him and he said, "Abraham, Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am!" 12 And he said, "Do not stretch out your hand to the lad and do not do to him anything. For you, I know, are one who fears God. And you did not withhold your son, you only one, from me. 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes and behold, he saw a ram behind (him), caught in the thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of that place, "The LORD saw" which is said today, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be seen."
