ROUGH TRANSLATION
(DH)1 These things spoke Jesus and after lifting up his eyes [in]to [the]
heaven, he said: "Father, the hour has come! Glorify your son, in order
that the son might glorify you, 2 just as you gave to him authority of
[over?] all flesh, in order that everyone who has been given to him, to them
he might give life eternal. 3 But this is the eternal life, so that
they might know you, the only true God, and [that they might know the one]
whom you sent, Jesus Christ. 4 I glorified you on earth with respect
to having finished [brought to completion] the work which you have given to
me so that I might do [it]. 5 And now, you glorify me, father, in your
very presence with [by means of] the glory [that] I had before the world
was, in your presence [alongside with you].
6 I made your name manifest to the human beings, whom you gave to me
out of [from] the cosmos [world]. They were yours [to, with you?] and to me
you gave them, and they have kept your word. 7 Now they have come to
know that all things, as many as you have given me, are from [with?] you.
8 For the words which you gave to me, I have given to them, and they
themselves received [them] and they knew in truth [truly] that I came from
[outside of] with you [I know this is awkward, but think about it for a
moment!], and they believed that you sent me.
9 I am asking concerning them, I am not asking concerning the cosmos
[world], but concerning the ones whom you have given to me, because they are
yours, 10 and all my things are yours, and yours mine, and I have been
glorified in [with, by means of?] them. 11 And no longer am I in the
cosmos [world], and/but they themselves are in the cosmos [world], and I am
coming toward them. Holy Father, keep them in [by means of?] your name
which you have given to me, in order that they might be one, just as we [are
one]."
