Old Union

Old Union was started in 1823 by 5 members of the church. There has been three buildings for the church. The first one was across the road from the current site. The first building was torn down and the second one was built where the current church is today. This church burnt down on Christmas Day 1925. It took 2 years for the current church to be built. An addition was added in 1954 for Sunday School rooms. The church has Sunday School for all ages from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There are services at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. We have an average of 75 participants per week. The board meetings are the first Thursday of every month. There is a Christian Womens Fellowship for all women of the church. The Youth Group meets twice a month. This is for kids 5th grade and up. Fourteen members of the church are going on a mission trip October 3rd to October 10th. The fourteen members are: Jim Rankin, Elizabeth Rankin, Jay Rankin, John Rankin, Susan Cooper, Jonathan Cooper, Jenna Cooper, Paula Litrell, Bryan Moran, Betty Tucker, David Michael, Judy Michael, Joann Michael, and Rev. Scott Winkler. The Ministers are Scott and Susan Winkler a husband and wife tandem.
