Jay Barry is the lone senior on the 1998 Henry Hudson Cross Country team. Jay lives in Atlantic Highlands and has been around Cross Country most of his life. He entered Hudson and ran on the seventh and eigth grade cross country team both years of Jr. High. He is now running his fourth and final high school cross country season. So far in Jay's high school career he has won 2 C-North Titles, 1995 and 1996. He is also driven by family to achieve greatness. Bill and Dan Loughran, coaches of Holmdel and Raritan respectively, ran at Hudson. Both are members of the 16's club at Holmdel Park. Bill having the better times of the two with a 16:06. He is a Monmouth County and Shore Conference Champion, and 8th place finish at the Meet Of Champions. Jay is now leading a team hopefully on its way to win its 3rd C-North title in the past 4 years. He will continue his running at Seton Hall next fall.
