Officer's Overcoat

Officer's Dark Blue Overcoat

This line drawing is from the Horstmann illustrations to the 1851 Regulations, but the officer's overcoat is the same as that of 1861. This illustration shows the à échelle closure at the neck and the four frogs and throgs down the body. Concealed buttons are also mentioned. This illustration omits the cape.
