What NOT to do on day 2 of Vacation!
Ok, listen up! We took our new boat for a week at the 1000 islands. It would finally be great to be able to explore the islands and do some fishing with our boat. When someone warns you to be careful on their dock that is being built.. Listen to them! Don't get all excited about seeing their new boat, and remember the boards are not nailed down yet!
or this is what could happen.....
This is me after surgery to plate and screw together the bone I broke after falling off the dock. I didn't even know it was broke until I visited the emergency room at Brockville 2 days after the fact. They put a temporary cast on my arm, so I could finish our vacation and then have surgery at home. FUN HUH? 10 days walking around with my bone broke right in half. Funny thing, it didn't hurt, but I'll remember to listen next time!!
The 3rd and final cast came off on Halloween and after a month of Physio-therapy, I'm now recovered.
Our friend Phil, checking out the new boat!
BOATING LINKS
Above is a picture of a nice Trawler we spotted at the Village Quay Marina Tim and Janet of the Village Quay Marina and Ketchums marine took us out cruising one hot Sunday in June in their Chris Craft Sea Skiff. I had the blisters under my eyes the next morning to prove it and I even put on sunscreen 3 times. We had an enjoyable day and it figures, I forgot my camera. I really enjoyed crusing the islands and seeing some of the more secluded and senic areas than the ususal busy boating channels.
