Mrs Nettie M Watson, 69, of 606 Radio Ave, died at 5:42 p.m. Thursday at Deaconess Hospital. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and served as president of the Cradle Roll department. Surviving are her husband, James; two sisters, Mrs Leona Easler of Owensboro Ky; and Mrs Shirley Wooley of Evansville. Funeral arangements are pending at Miller and Miller Colonial Chapel.
Alva Black, 58, died at 4 a.m. Sunday at Deaconess Hospital after a lengthy illness. He resided in Daylight. Mr Black was an automobile salesman and formerly worked for Clark Motors. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs Helen Bryan, of Evansville; two brothers, William Black of Tennyson, and Herman Black of Evansville: seven sisters, Mrs Ora Dorsey, Mrs James Watson and Mrs Shirley Wooley, all of Evansville, Mrs Eva Edwards and Mrs Joseph Woolsey, both of Evansville, Mrs Myrtle Broshears, of Gentryville, and Mrs Ollie Easler, of Owensboro Ky.; one half sister, Mrs Minnie Morris of Tennyson, and two grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending at Johann funeral home.
Mrs Mary E Swinny (Swaney),67 wife of (Mathew) Nathan J Swancy (Swaney) of Tennyson, died saterday. Funeral services were held at the home at 9 A M. With burial in Garrison cemetery. Mrs Swinny (Swaney) was a splended woman and was beloved for her true character.
