My STOUT Family begins with JOHN H. STOUT who was born in Virginia around 1805. John, on February 24, 1831 in St. Louis County, Missouri married NANCY EOFF who was born in Missouri about 1816 and was the daughter of George Eoff and Nancy Agnes Cole. John and Nancy had 8 children, all born in Pike County, Missouri.

i. John Stout (B. JUL 1858 in Pike County, MO; D. ????). John married a Clara A. ????? (B. MAY 1864 in MO; D. ???) and had at least four children: (John W. (B. JUN 1884), Charles (B. FEB 1886), Mary (B. AUG 1887) and Miller (B. 31 MAY 1892).
ii. JoAnn Stout (B. abt. 1865 in Pike County, MO; D. ???). JoAnn married a Mr. Holly and moved to Montana then California and had possibly 3 hildren.
iii. Mary Adelaide Stout (B. abt. 1870 in Pike County, MO; D. 28 OCT 1928 in St. Louis, MO, she was cremated 31 OCT 1928 at Hillcrest Crematory in St. Louis CIty, MO). Mary was 1st married on 30 MAY 1889 in Pike County, MO to Archibald Johnson Scroggins, Jr. (B. abt. 1857/61 in Pike County, MO; D. 04 FEB 1907 in Pike County, MO and is burried at Taylor Chapel Cemetery). Mary then on 25 MAY 1909 in St. Louis, MO married John Linden and then on 09 MAY 1917 in St. Louis, MO married William Vaughn.
3. Mary A. Stout (B. abt. 1837 in MO; D. ???). Mary married 1858 in Pike County, MO to Richard D. Tompkins and had 3 children (James, Kasander, and ???(D. before 1883))
4. Thomas H. Stout (B. abt 1839 in MO; D. ???)
5. Emily Stout (B. abt. 1841 in MO; D. ???)
6. Nancy Stout (B. abt. 1844 in MO; D. ???)
7. John H. Stout, Jr. (B. 15 FEB 1850 in MO; D. 06 FEB 1936 in Pike County, MO, and is burried at the Ashburn Cemetery). John married in Pike County, MO to Martha Ann ???? (B. 18 September 1848; D. 12 September 1942 in Pike County, MO, burried at the Ashburn Cemetery). Children Unknown.
8. Sarah Stout (B. abt. 1853 in MO; D. 28 MAR 1891 in Pike County, MO and burried in Ashburn Cemetery). Sarah was married to William Samuel Stephens.
