The RCWRT's Annual Dinner with Bill Young "Pickett's Charge According to Lt. George Finley, CSA" 6-9pm, Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at the Willow Oaks Country Club 6228 Forest Hill Avenue Richmond, Virginia 23225 Note - Our Speaker has changed read on... Our scheduled dinner speaker, Dr. George Kirsch is unable to attend due to an unanticipated medical situation. We are most fortunate that one of our own members, Bill Young has stepped into the breach. Bill willingly accepted the invitation to present one of his famous historical impressions. He will portray Lieutenant George W. Finley who commanded Company K, 56th Virginia Infantry, Garnett's Brigade when Pickett's Division was ordered to attack Cemetery Ridge on July 3. Bill is a retired trial lawyer with degrees from the University of Virginia and the University of Richmond Law School. He portrays Lt. Finley as he looked in the early 1900's. The Civil War Round Table of Central Florida found Bill's presentation of this Pickett's Charge survivor to be "An unparalleled, profound, awe inspiring, extraordinary evening." Checks for the dinner must reach Bruce Venter no later than Thursday, November 7. Questions call Bruce: 703-785-4373 (mobile) For online members click here for the form and print it.
