It has been very well received by Civil War book reviewers. In 1993, Bob wrote the Battles of Aldie, Middleburg and Upperville: Small But Important Riots, June 10-27, 1863, a book that has remained the definitive study of these battles. His articles have appeared in Blue & Gray magazine and other Civil War publications. After living a dozen years in Montana, Bob has returned to Virginia in time for the Sesquicentennial commemoration of the Loudoun County fights. Meeting Attendance for: May 2013 = 78 NOTE: Please put on your NAME BADGE on when you arrive for the meeting. (They will be on a table near the back of the room.)
Message from Our President Folks, we hope that many of you will be taking advantage of Saturday's field trip. If not there are plenty of extra Civil War activities going on in the area. Did you notice that our own Jack Mountcastle was quoted in Monday's Time-Dispatch, and often we see Waite Rawls, John Coski, Bobby Krick and others often quoted as well. It's nice to have so many of the real experts close by. If I don't see you Saturday, then will see you Tuesday night. Brent
Don't forget Books For Bucks! Bring in any books you no longer need and donate them to the cause. Be sure to browse the table of good books at the back of the room. Bert
