Soljourner's Night-time Herbal

I purchase my herbs either cut and sifted or via powder form from either my local health food store or via www.naturesproducts.com.  Below you will find my recipe - feel free to copy it and use it, but if you reference it on your website, I'd appreciate a link back to this site (thanks, in advance).

This particular recipe is great if you suffer from PMS, suffer from Endometriosis, insomnia, stress, tension, headaches, & cramps.

Herbs & Their Uses:

Instructions:

Mix a tablespoon of each herb and one teaspoon of the rolled oats into a food processor or blender, blend until powdery, then place into "00" capsules.  Store in air-tight jar, away from heat and the sun.

To Use:

Take two to three day-time herbals in the evening, for three weeks.  After three weeks, stop taking everything and give your body a full week's worth of rest (also known as 'cleansing') by also upping your intake of clear liquids.

Clear liquids can be the following: water, ginger ale, chicken broth, seltzer water, watered down apple juice, or watered down white grape juice. Water is the best, though, and sometimes tastes better if you get a big pitcher to chill in the fridge. Add orange or lemon slices to the water, so it will taste better.  Some people even 'fast' during this cleansing period, but I would not recommend it without the advice of a certified herbalist or doctor; especially if you are ill or suffer with a disease.

You might not notice a difference, right away.  It, typically takes from one to two weeks for these herbs to get concentrated enough in your body for you to notice anything. That is because they are natural and more gentle than any man-made synthetic substance.

Precautions:

Do NOT mix-up the day-time herbal and the night-time herbal!!! I've designed them, each, for two different things. The day-time one is supposed to rev you up and give you energy - you don't want to be taking that at night! The night-time herbal is supposed to relax you and chill you out - you don't want to take it during the day or you'll be dragging butt all day long!

If you have allergies, the herbs used in this recipe might cause a reaction - sneezing, watery eyes, etc.  If you'll have a reaction to them; common sense says not to use them and to investigate other herbs that won't cause such a reaction.

If you are pregnant or suffer from heart disease or high blood pressure, do not take this herbal!

These herbs are also non-addictive, non-habit forming, and with little to no side effects (again; ask your doctor whether any of the herbs involved with counter any medications you may be on).

Do not take this herbal when driving, until you figure out how it affects you.  Some people may find that it makes them rather drowsy, so is best and safer to not drive right after taking them.
