The Big Country Emmaus Community is based in Abilene,Texas. The Community Gathering is the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM.
If you want to know more about "What is Walk to Emmaus", there are links below that will answer your questions much better than I can.
Walk to Emmaus is descended from the Cursillo Movement that started in Majorca,Spain in the 1940's. I've included links to the history of Emmaus & Cursillo.
I've included some of the best links I could find on Emmaus, Cursillo, Chrysalis, Tres Dias, Via de Cristo, Kairos & other 3-day weekends based on the Cursillo method.
There are links on how to subscribe to the Emmaus & Cursillo e-mail lists. There are also links to sites where communites can ask for e-mail agape/palanca for upcoming weekends.
If you wish to attend a Big Country Walk or Chrysalis, here is link to a page - Application to attend a Big Country Walk and Big Country Sponsor's Form.
Just print the page and you and have your sponsor fill them out. In order for the application to be accepted, BOTH pages MUST be completely filled out and mailed along with a check for $175.00 to Big Country Emmaus Community, P.O. Box 5080, Abilene,Tx 79608.
