The acclaimed artist, T.R. Chytka, is a natural when it comes to creating bronze sculptures of cowboys, rodeos and the Western way of life. Born and raised in rural South Dakota, he became interested in sculpting during high school and paid his way through college by selling his art. A high school, college and later, a professional rodeo bull rider, his rodeo experiences have provided him with first hand knowledge for authentic detail in each figure he sculpts. First he creates the original drawing. Then, from the clay model to the final castings and patina work, he creates the entire bronze. His original bronze sculptures have been featured in civic centers, art galleries and heritage centers throughout the West. He has been honored to have three original sculptures on permanent display in the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Further, the artist is a founding member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Artist Group.
