Martin Volunteer Fire Department
Emergency Medical Services
We provide BLS non-transport service for medical emergencies in our district. We do this through our ALS service, Metro Ambulance of Meridian. They provide us with med control as well as replenishing our expendable supplies. Metro takes a very active role in our training, conducting an annual "Rescue Day" as well as a "Mid-Winter Conference". Our personnel are qualified at either the First Responder or Emergency Medical Technician level. We respond to all medical emergencies, fires, automobile accidents, search and rescue calls, and any where else that we are needed. We feel that this service is very important to our community due to our remote location and resultant long ALS response times.
