DUAFE
is a west african (Adinkra) ideogram, that was used exclusively
by
Ashanti royalty, its meaning "The embodiment of all the virtues of
womankind,
purdence, patience."
The front panel is 1/4” textured glass with the duafe symbol etched at the top center and gild in 23kt gold; the clock face is 1/2” glass sandblasted around the edge with 12 letters spelling AFRANTIQUITY and gild in 23kt gold; the face is wrapped inwood and clamped to the hand turn wood head; the body is hollow with a 40 watt halogen light at the base. 70”H x 12”W x 12”D
